Connected Awareness is a group meditation class exploring what meditation really is — the art of letting go. Together we’ll look at what meditation actually points to: the practice of observing without identifying with the objects of awareness. Alex will guide the group in recognizing these objects — thoughts, feelings, sensations, etc. — and exploring how to release attachment to them. From there, we move into connected practices where awareness meets interaction. Human connection has a way of surfacing our attachments quickly, and this class offers a space to observe that in real time, with others, and to practice letting go right in the middle of it. The result is a meditation that doesn’t end when you open your eyes — it becomes the way you meet each moment.
